Terms and Conditions

New Clients
Please allow time on your first appointment to sign a copy of our full 'Terms and Conditions' and 'Photography Permission'. We will complete a full consultation where we will record vital details. We ask that you bring your Veterinary Surgery contact details including your pets’ microchip number. All information is kept confidential under the Data Protection Act 1998.

Refusal of Service
Here at Yorkshire Dog Spa we strive to put the welfare of our clients’ dogs first. If for any reason, we feel the health and safety of your dog and/or the groomer are at risk then we will have no choice other than termination of service. You will be expected to pay a minimum of £15 or the cost of any services completed (whichever is greater).

Neglecting and Matting
Yorkshire Dog Spa have the right to shave any dog left in their care if it is deemed to be badly matted. We always put the welfare of any dog in our care first. 

Photographs
At Yorkshire Dog Spa we like to make your fury friends feel like a celebrity, so what better way to finish their treatment then a mini photoshoot. Yorkshire Dog Spa reserve the right to take photographs of your dog whilst they are within our care. Photographs will remain the property of Yorkshire Dog Spa. Yorkshire Dog Spa have the right to use these photographs as they require.

Drop off and Pick up
On arrival you will need to allow time for a short consultation (approximately 5-15mins). When your fury friend(s) are ready to be collected we will contact you with a time. If you are more than 30 minutes late of the agreed time charges will apply. (*see COVID-19 section)

Cancellations
If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, we ask that you give as much notice as possible. If cancellation is less than 24hrs prior to your appointment a 25% cancellation fee will be charged and a 50% deposit will be required for your next booking. (**see COVID-19 section) 

No Shows
Due to being a small family run business, if you cannot make your appointment for any reason we ask that you contact us by phone (07933 013988) or email (info@yorkshiredogspa.com). If you fail to contact us and miss your appointment "No Show". You will be expected to pay the full cost of the service you were booked in for. Please note if you are more than 15 minutes late we will assume you are a "No Show", as we may not be able to honor your appointment, the same charges will apply.

Bitches in Season
If your dog is in season, this includes before/during/after bleeding, it is your responsibility to contact Yorkshire Dog Spa and rearrange your appointment. This appointment can still remain on the same day, however, it would need to be rearranged to the last appointment before closing. When booking your appointments please remember most breeds of dog have a season every six months. 

Toileting Prior to Appointment
Although Yorkshire Dog Spa have the facilities for your furry friend to relieve themselves whilst in our care we ask that you please ensure your dog relieves themselves prior to their arrival.

Anal Glands
Yorkshire Dog Spa do not undertake treatments such as expressing of anal glands, teeth cleaning or administer medicines. Under the Veterinary Surgeons Act 1966, only qualified Veterinary Surgeons are allowed to diagnose and undertake such treatments. Yorkshire Dog Spa will provide an external health check prior to any treatment and notify our clients of any concerns we feel should be addressed by your Veterinary Surgeon.

Veterinary Care
If Yorkshire Dog Spa feel the need to seek veterinary advice or care whilst your dog is in their care, any cost incurred will be required to be paid in full and added to your invoice. Where possibly Yorkshire Dog Spa will aim to contact you directly and your local veterinary surgery. 

Parasites
Please contact Yorkshire Dog Spa prior to your appointment if you notice any parasites (eg. Fleas, Ticks, Worms, etc.) Your appointment can be rearranged to a later date once they have been clean for a minimum of 48 hours. If parasites are found during the groom Yorkshire Dog Spa have the right to terminate the service, you will be expected to pay a minimum of £15 or the cost of any services completed (whichever is greater) plus a £5 fee to cover the additional sterilization required for the salon. 

Complaints
Please contact Yorkshire Dog Spa within 48 Hours of service if you have any complaints. Yorkshire Dog Spa will try to resolve all complaints quickly and efficiently. 
 
COVID-19
To follow government guidelines we are doing a full clean after each of your pooches. *Due to this we ask that you please ring us when you arrive prior to coming through the gate. This allows us to confirm the salon has been cleaned and also prevents a cross-over of clients leaving/arriving so we can adhere to social distancing rules of 2 metres. **If you have symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms of COVID-19 we ask you contact us as soon as possible to cancel your appointment. You will not be liable for any cancellation charges. This is to keep both our clients and ourselves safe so we are able to remain open. 

Data & Marketing
Yorkshire Dog Spa will contact you via SMS, phone, email or post.

You will receive notification of any future offers/promotions/gifts via SMS, email or post.

You must notify Yorkshire Dog Spa if you have been in contact with anyone showing signs of COVID-19 to cancel your appointment.

When signing your Customer Record Card on registration you agree that Yorkshire Dog Spa may use this information for internal use and storage. This information is not shared and will only be used to contact you in regard to your appointments. In addition you are also agreeing to the Terms and Conditions as set out above.
